Shrimp Marinade
- 1-1 /12 lbs jumbo shrimp shelled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Other Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine cooked
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup parsley freshly chopped
- 1/4 cup shallots chopped
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp garlic sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Olive oil for cooking
Garnish
- 2 tbsp parsley freshly chopped
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese freshly grated
Assemble
In a large pan over medium heat, sear the marinated shrimp on both sides until golden brown and set aside.
In the same pan, add unsalted butter, shallots, sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for a few minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant.
Then, add in white wine, lemon juice and parsley. Cook 4-5 minutes and reduce slightly. This will allow the alcohol to cook out and deepen the flavor.
Next, add the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
Allow to cook until the sauce has thickened.
Then, add in the cooked linguine and mix until pasta is coated.
Return shrimp to the pan and top with parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
