Add oil to an oven safe skillet and set over medium high heat.
Add in Italian sausage and sauté until brown.
Once browned, set aside and add in the peppers, onions, and garlic.
Sauté until the garlic is fragrant and the peppers are slightly browned.
Once browned, add in the cooked sausage and add two cups of chicken broth and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream.
Stir all ingredients and then add in the uncooked pasta.
Season with salt and pepper and stir all ingredients.
Next, let it come to a boil. Once at a boil, lower the temperature to medium-low, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Check pasta to make sure it's cooked. Add in the remaining 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream and salt and pepper to taste. Then stir in 1 cup of shredded mozerella cheese.
Once combined, add the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese to the top and broil until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned on top.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
